Angelenos are seasoned pros at shopping for vintage home goods and clothes near a large stadium-like setting.
But it will still be a new and slightly surreal experience to walk around Dodger Stadium looking for the perfect mid-century lamp, even after years of strolling the world-famous Rose Bowl Flea Market.
Philip Dane is the organizer, and here is what has been organized: bevies of booths selling all sorts of flea-markety things (bevies=400-ish). Rick Dees serving as opening-day host. And yes -- yes! -- yes: food trucks. Food trucks feeding strolling lookie-loos.
General admission is $5 and starts at 9 a.m. As with other mondo flea markets, earlier hours mean higher admissions (but also getting a first crack at the finds).
If you can't make opening day, two dates are coming up for LA Flea: Sunday, August 29 and Sunday, September 26.
