    Champagne, cruises and casinos -- the countdown to the New Year is on. Here is a list of ways you can toast the New Year in Southern California.

    The New Year's Eve Countdown Bash at Universal City Walk

    The outdoor event is free to the public and will feature live music, DJs and fireworks.

    When: 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m.
    Where: Universal City Walk
    Age Limit: All ages are welcome

    The New Year's Eve Hollywood VIP Pass

    With this pass, partygoers will experience a new rage in Hollywood known as the club crawl. The pass gives access to five to eight New Year's Eve club parties and depending on the ticket purchased, dinner may be included.

    When: 7:30 p.m. - 4 a.m.
    Where: Check in at Highlands on Level 4 at Hollywood & Highland, 6801 Hollywood Blvd.
    Price: $125-250 depending on ticket
    Age Limit: 21 and over

    Shade Royale New Year's Eve Event

    Ring in the New Year "Bond" style. The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, casino gaming tables, a VIP poker lounge, live DJ, dancing and a champagne toast.

    New Year's Eve at Rush Street

    The biggest no-cover New Year's Eve Party on the West Side of LA

    When: Dinner reservations begin at 5 p.m., bottle service begins at 8 p.m. and the DJ begins at 10 p.m.
    Where: Rush Street, 9546 Washington Blvd., Culver City
    Price: No cover charge, but the price varies depending upon services.
    Age Limit: All ages are welcome before 9 p.m. After 9 p.m., only 21 and over allowed.

    Las Palmas Avenue 2012 NYE Block Party

    Enjoy three clubs and open bar for the price of one ticket.

    When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.
    Where: Las Palmas, Premier Supperclub and the Angels and Kings Club.

    New Year's Eve Bottomless Bubbly Event

    Enjoy a night of fireworks, access to seven entertainment venues, including four live music venues and a disco lounge.

    NYE White & Black (out) Open Bar Ball

    The fundraising event benefits the "Thinking About Tomorrow" Foundation and features two floors of fun, an open bar and a champagne toast.
