Now on Sale: 2013 Rose Parade Tickets

What are you doing on New Year's Day?

When the Tournament of Roses recently announced its 2013 theme -- "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" -- we got to marveling about the clockwork precision that is part of the fabric of the day-to-day doings at the Tournament House in Pasadena.

Because the Rose people? So on top of it. We can all take a lesson.

Here's further proof: Tickets for the Rose Parade are now on sale. Yep, it is indeed 11 months away, but you know that people who love one of the world's most pomp-and-circumstance-laden events are already booking their bit of bench.

Sales began on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Sharp Seating is the company behind the tickets. Two things to add. One? There's a helpful route map on the site. And two? You'll get a discount if you purchase before March 1.

Wow, and a third thing: Sharp has been covering the Rose Parade for three quarters of a century. Tradition x 100.

So, are you going to get tickets for your parade-loving honey for Valentine's Day? Hide 'em inside a bouquet of roses? We won't preen too much over that pretty sweet suggestion. And please feel free to take credit for it, if you so choose.

For more info on tickets check out Sharp Seating. To follow those oh-so-on-top-of-it Tourney people, keep tabs on the Rose Parade site. The calendar is always set to New Year's Day at the Tournament House. Producers looking for your next sci-fi time travel flick, is there a storyline there?
