Prince William and Kate aren't the only royals visiting the Golden State this summer.
His Royal Highness the Prince Consort Henrik of Denmark is planning a U.S. tour for June 6-11. After stops in Washington, D.C., and New York, his highness is heading west to Solvang, located in the Santa Ynez Valley about 128 miles up the coast from Los Angeles.
The town of the 5,332 people is affectionately known as "Little Denmark" or The "Danish Capital of America."
"His visit will be a highlight of the centennial year," said Esther Jacobsen Bates, Executive Director of the Elverhøj Museum of History & Art. "We also have the pleasure of hosting His Royal Highness on his June 11 birthday. We want to celebrate both occasions in grand style."
The Prince Consort will also be traveling to Stanford University and Palo Alto to visit the Innovation Center Denmark.
