Inland Empire Skydivers Jump for Record, Charity

Skydivers attempt a record-setting jump over the Inland Empire.

Sixty-eight people jumped out of perfectly good airplanes Wednesday in an attempt to set a new skydiving record.

The specially qualified wingsuit skydivers used four separate aircraft from 13,000 feet above the ground. The group soared in formation for about 2 miles before deploying parachutes and landing in Lake Elsinore, according to Raise the Sky.

The proceeds from the event will be donated to City Year Los Angeles, a community service-group in LA.

Two judges from the United States Parachute Association were scheduled to ratify the record.
