Rock ‘n Roll Monday

ACE FREHLEY: These days he's apt to appear without his "Spaceman" star make-up, but KISS guitarist Ace Frehley still rocks it, giant silvery moon boots or not. He's landing at the GRAMMY Museum on Monday, September 14th to talk about "Anomaly" -- the museum says it's the musician's first record in two decades -- just ahead of its September 15th release. We're fans of the comic books, of "Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park," of those arena-quaking rock 'n rollers. Better wear your KISS guitar pick earrings. 8PM, GRAMMY Museum

AMOEBA MONDAY MOVIES: There are three more weeks to go on this free -- we said, free -- film series that's hosted by Amoeba Music and Space15Twenty. Up on Monday, September 14th: "Message to Love: The Isle of Wight Festival." Were you among the 600,000 people who attended this famous 1970 show? Did you dress like a gnome, or wear a sod skirt? Jimi Hendrix was there (and it was to be a historic performance). The Who, too. You saw all the Woodstock footage last month, and it was incredible; now eye what the Brits gave the world in terms of the rollicking, mondo, bliss-out tune spectacular. 8PM, Space15Twenty
