One doesn't need to gaze into a crystal ball, or a tall shiny trophy, to reveal where a lot of the Stanley Cup-viewing action will go down in this town.
(Although wouldn't it kind of be great if one could gaze into a Stanley Cup and see the future in its gleaming surface? We suppose we'd want to do so only if the future was good.)
But here's what today's future forecast is telling us: LA Live has dubbed itself, and very rightly, "the official Stanley Cup headquarters." There are "watch parties" aplenty at the LA Kings hub, and several specials of the food and drink sort at various area restaurants. Plus free parking to boot (you gotta hit Lot 7 at Figueroa and Chick Hearn; arrive early, as it is first come/first served).
The eating/drinking discounts we're liking? Fifteen percent off at Trader Vic's, a Penalty Box Special at ESPN Zone, and purple margaritas at Rosa Mexicano.
Mmm, purple margaritas.
Your jersey isn't the official dress code but you're going to wear it, right? It'll be full fandom all over at the LA Live, so get into the Kingly spirit.
