Some actors fit with genre television like hand in metallic, futuristic, wires-and-buttons glove. It's even better when an actor realizes that, and loves genre television back, returning time and again to interesting, strange, and scary shows.

Eliza Dushku, we're giving you props here, for rewarding your fan base with new roles in the genre-rocking world they adore so much. Your new-ish show "Dollhouse" -- made by "Buffy" dad Joss Whedon, of course -- delivers mysterious storylines, and you ably play a woman dealing admirably with a world gone mad. That there's memory wiping and grappling with identity is pure, plot-jolting bonus.

Another major bonus, for fans of the show who happen to be in SoCal on Wednesday, April 15th: "Dollhouse" is getting the proverbial confetti drop at the 2009 PaleyFest. Mr. Whedon will be there, along with his star, and a lot of cast-y, crew-ish type people to boot (applause their way as well; genre TV looks like a blast, but we're sure it is hard in the making). 7PM. $45-$60 general. Cinerama Dome, ArcLight Hollywood, 6360 W. Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles
