Tonight: “Cavalia” Opens

Nearly 50 horses will prance and gallop in Burbank

"CAVALIA" OPENS: Equine elegance reaches its zenith in this touring show that features numerous riders and performers and nearly 50 horses, long of mane and long on mystique. The show, which has been galloping into various cities from here to everywhere, is under the White Big Top in Burbank. Acrobatics, movement, and music lend oomph to the hoofery. Through Sunday, Feb 13

"BALLROOM WITH A TWIST": It's the first night of previews for this hips-shaker that will feature several "Dancing with the Stars" alums. The wonderful Niecy Nash will be starring in some upcoming nights, as will Louis Van Amstel and Jane Seymour. Well that's just fun. Jane Seymour. You'll want to check dates beforehand to make sure your star is there on your night. At the El Portal in North Hollywood

WILLIE NELSON: Mr. Nelson has been doing some serious strumming around Central and Southern California -- Chumash, Pechanga, and the McCallum in Palm Desert -- and tonight he plays the last of this current SoCal run. He's in Anaheim, at House of Blues, and then -- yep -- he's on the road again, for Flagstaff.
