The treats slated for this year's Halloween are getting an upgrade. Kids can trade in their candy for cash in Newhall.
For $1 a pound, dentist Sarkis Aznavour is sponsoring his own Halloween candy buy back program, encouraging kids to give up their sugar-filled, teeth-decaying goodies in favor of cold, hard cash.
Aznavour is donating the candy to American troops currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Candy buying will continue from Nov. 1 through the 5th at Healthy Smiles Dental, 24242 Lyons Ave.
