Weekend: LA Marathon

Thousands run, thousands watch. Plus, a new route.

2010 LA MARATHON: It's "Stadium to the Sea" time for thousands of runners. If you're in the marathon, you know that this year you'll be footing it from Dodger Stadium to the ocean. If you're cheering on a runner, there are places to watch, eat, and drink. If you want to go to the Valley or into the city, study the route and closures. Sunday, March 21.

BRENTWOOD VILLAGE SPRING FESTIVAL: The first day of spring is Saturday, March 20, so this outdoor party is right on schedule. Look for art, bands, food, and family to-dos around the corner of Barrington and Sunset.

ASTRAL LANDSCAPES: Music and images and ideas and colors and video feedback and artists and their outlandish impulses all combine in a big swirly-swirl to put edgy and ethereal thoughts in your brain. At the Downtown Independent on Saturday, March 20.

VINTAGE FASHION SHOW & TEA: Talk about a memorable runway: Heritage Square is the host for this Saturday, March 20 sartorial spectacular. You'll wear your bustle, right? Good.

SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWS: Gomez is at the El Rey; Vox Feminina is at the Colburn School; and the Old Town Temecula Bluegrass Festival stomps it through Sunday, March 21.
