PORT OF LOS ANGELES LOBSTER FESTIVAL: This crustacean-o-rama turned 10 last year, but it sure does seem like it has been around for a lot longer. CALIFORNIA BEER FESTIVAL: Maybe one year these festivals will be claw-by-mug-handle, but for now, the Lobster's in Pedro, and this brew-up is in Ventura. And it's on Saturday, Sept. 18. There be a remarkable number of labels there, too. $40 gets you in and tasting.
TICKET TO THE TWENTIES: Note that "Prohibition will be enforced" and that fringe-y flapper wear is the order of the day(s) at this weekend-long hoop-di-do at the Homestead Museum.
