"True Blood" shines at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood on Monday, April 13

"TRUE BLOOD": We'd say that vampires can't catch a break, but since about every fourth cool and/or hit book/movie/television show in the last several decades deals with these blood-thirsty night wanderers, it turns out they do, and with frequency. The uber-popular Sookie Stackhouse series is a prime example of our continuing vampiric fascination. Alan Ball's small-town gothic "True Blood," which is based on the Stackhouse books, stars Anna Paquin as a very talented barkeep living in a very supernatural spot (the second season is due to start on HBO soonish). And now the "Blood" cast and creators are talking about their toothy terror of a show (which became a cult classic at about, oh, three episodes in) at PaleyFest. Ms. Paquin is due to appear, as is Alan Ball and actor Stephen Moyer. Monday, April 13th, 7PM. $45-$60 general. Cinerama Dome, ArcLight Hollywood, 6360 W. Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles

ALSO ON MONDAY, APRIL 13TH: Comedians air their "Dirty Laundry" (get ready to squirm and/or guffaw) at Upright Citizens Brigade and Jenny Lewis is at the Glass House in Pomona.
