What You're Doing Tonight: April 7th

CLORIS LEACHMAN AT THE GROVE: She may be getting accolades, and a bevy of new fans, with her "Dancing with the Stars" appearances. Oh, and her spicy, say-it-like-it-is turn as Malcolm's grandma in "Malcolm in the Middle," but Cloris Leachman, for many TV fans, will forever be the la-di-da landlady who sparred with Mary Tyler Moore. Or people adore her for her role in "The Last Picture Show," for which she won an Oscar. Or she's applauded for her masterful, sinister turn as Frau Blucher in "Young Frankenstein" (love love love). Or she's recognized from her recent appearance as the grand marshal of the Rose Bowl Parade. Okay, we should just accept the fact that Cloris Leachman has been just about everywhere, and not just lately. She's a great comic actress who has brightened every show and movie she's joined. And that she now has a new (and we hear, quite dishy) book on the shelves only makes us adore her more. Tuesday, April 7, 7:30PM. Barnes & Noble at The Grove, 189 Grove Drive, Los Angeles. 323-525-0270

ALSO ON TUESDAY, APRIL 7: Warner Bros. toasts animation (and that giant new mural you've probably spied as you round the corner at the studio); Omar gets soulful at the Conga Room; and Megadeth brings its mega-ness to Club Nokia.
