The Jane Carrey Band plays at Molly Malone's, on Friday, February 20.

THE JANE CARREY BAND: You've probably seen plenty of pics of this buzz-building singer in various celeb mags (she's the one standing next to Jim Carrey, who just happens to be her father). The chanteuse and her band are creating cabaret-type tunes with a slightly retro '70s-ish vibe. Very pretty. Maybe the magazines will picture Jane Carrey -- and her father will just happen to be standing next to her in the photo -- soon? Friday, February 20, 8PM. Molly Malone's, 575 S. Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles. 323-935-1577

DROPKICK MURPHYS: You like raise-a-sloshing-pint-in-a-small-crowded-pub tuneage; we do, too. You like your traditional Celtic accordions and mandolins and various stringed instruments handled a bit roughly, with a charmingly sneer-ish, punky attitude, too. You like, we're guessing, the Dropkick Murphys. Us too. And though St. Patrick's is still a few weeks off, no one is saying you can't jig -- and jig damn hard -- right now. Friday, February 20, 8PM. The Hollywood Palladium, 6215 W. Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood. 323-962-7600

Both The Game at Club Nokia and The Oak Ridge Boys in Cerritos are sold out (so we're hoping you got those tix already); for more Friday go-outs, from comedy to dancing to more music, peruse on...
