SUNDAY AFTERNOON WINE PARTY: The honcho behind Jake-Ryan cellars leads an afternoon of tapa-licious treats and a wide array of vino goodness at Ciudad downtown. On the tasting menu: bites of every flavor (we're curious about the citrus-y salmon sliders, and a dish titled "Drunken Grapes"), syrahs, a zinfandel, a mojito, and a beer to boot. The price is $45. We spent one Sunday brunching the day away at Ciudad, and now associate this relaxed weekend day with the mural-y margarita hot spot. It just feels festive, and we're betting an interesting wine and tapas tasting will only further that feeling. Sunday, March 15, 4PM. Ciudad, 445 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles. 213-486-5171
ALSO ON SUNDAY, MARCH 15: Cassie Miller and the Gold Standard get toes tappin' at the retro-spunky Cicada Club at the Oviatt Building; The Australian BBQ sizzles at The Echo (look for My Disco, The Red Riders, plenty more); and "Louis & Keely" swing at the Geffen Playhouse.
