What You're Doing Tonight: March 9th

JESSE MCCARTNEY: He's only a couple of years out of his teens, but this balladeer has already climbed several rungs on the whole "making it in showbiz ladder"; he starred on "All My Children" for several years *and* acted with The Who's Roger Daltrey, at Madison Square Garden no less. He was part of Dream Street -- a boy band -- and now he's performing solo. With Miley Cyrus on "The View" this week, and the Jonas Brothers still 3-Ding in theaters, there's definitely a younger vibe around. Feels almost spring break-ish, in fact... Oh, guess it just about is. 102.7 KIIS Presents Jesse McCartney at HOB Sunset Strip, Monday, March 9, 8PM. 8430 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood. 323-848-5100

RED BARN TRAGEDY: Whether or not Red Barn Tragedy is truly the worst open mic near or far (as it is billed) is in the eyes/ears of the beholder, but we're guessing that it is mighty entertaining, too. Stay after for the "The Misbegotten Video Show," also from the Garage Comedy people (there are videos, and they are indeed "misbegotten," as in strange, eccentric, odd, able to sear images upon the brain forever). Starting the week with laughs and drinks at El Cid is not a bad thing, in our books. Monday, March 9, 7PM. 4212 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles. 323-668-0318
