OC Swimsuit Designers Hit the Big Time

Three bikinis designed by sisters in Orange County are selected for the SI Swimsuit Edition

Last year, swimsuit designer Oleema Miller and her sister Kalani submitted three swimsuits to be considered by the editors of Sports Illustrated.

"You send it in, and from there you just cross your fingers," states Oleema Miller, of Mikoh Swimwear.

The sisters have ten suits in their 2011 line, and three of them made the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, all of them sized extra small.

The teeny, tiny bikinis made for big business.

Older brother Jason runs their website.

Their web traffic quadrupled when the swimsuit edition hit newsstands.

"Sefinitely when it comes to sales I know a lot of people look at the swimsuit edition as the bible for buying swimwear," according to Oleema Miller, of Mikoh Swimwear.

Now Mikoh Swimwear is a business that's going, well, swimmingly.
