Adventures in Shilling: Yogurtland, Shin

It's time for another edition of Adventures in Shilling, in which we fight shilling the best way we can, by shaming tasteless, unscrupulous shills into submission. Well, that's the plan, at least. Fight shills yourself by dropping offensive links to la@eater.com.

1) As seen above, Martha Q was one busy Chowhounder yesterday. Within just a few hours she found at least five froyo posts, from as far back as 2006 and as far away as San Francisco, to sing the praises of Yogurtland. (We took a screen shot knowing the Mods will probably remove her with a vengeance.) The most flagrant abuse: "Yogurtland is really good you get to serve yourself and get what You Want!! the qualitey is really good ( creamy and smooth)." AND: "If you want the best suggesstion then Yogurtland is the best place they have a very healthy and tasty Flavor. it's buy far the best for me :)" AND: "Hey you'r so right Yogurtland is the best place for frozen yogurt. Totally the leading in it's class!!" Did they think the typos made them look less shilly? Shill probability: 106%.

2) Shin recently opened in Hollywood to bring bibimbop and bulgogi to the celeb and celeb-watching set, but it's obvious this person (disguised as three separate people with the same knack for uninteresting, impersonal handles) coudn't contain their glee on Zagat: "Shin exceeded all of our expectations w/ the marinated beef, shrimp & spicy chicken. The Noodles were tasty & just plain fun to eat. I have never been a huge fan of kimchi but Shin creates magic w/ cabbage. I had 3 bowls. Shin has a warm yet modern party atmosphere. Pair this w/ fantastic food & creative cocktails, the Korean Kiss was my libation and you have Shin in the truly amazing food category!" Shill probability: 86%.

3) Shinsters hit Yelp, too. Maybe this guy thinks "shin" means "great" in Korean: "The food is great! The meat is very tender and the it is an explosion of flavors right in your mouth! I also loved the music they were playing , i started humming some of the songs they were playing while i was enjoying a delicious plate of meat. The desserts are also great! Definitely worth check out! Service was great, Eddie was our waiter and tended to our every desires." Shill probability: 72%.For more stories from Eater LA, go to la.eater.com.
