Palm Springs is looking for unwanted citrus to help the needy.
Collection carts in the city will be in place until April in the parking lot of the City Yard, 425 N. Civic Drive (map).
"The Office of Sustainability has teamed up with Hidden Harvest, a local produce recovery program, to provide space at the City Corporate Yard for citrus collection carts supplied by Palm Springs Disposal Services. Anyone who has extra citrus can place it in carts and Hidden Harvest will collect and distribute it to those in need," according to the city.
