This weekend's closing of the 405 Freeway is leading some businesses to do everything they can to get you in the door, despite all the worries about Carmageddon.

The Santa Monica Pier is offering free unlimited-ride passes to guests with a San Fernando Valley ZIP code.
If riding out the traffic nightmare sounds more interesting at a bar or restaurant, many places are offering discounts on meals and drinks with catchy names like, "the Gridlock" and "Road Rage."
These deals will help people "hopefully alleviate some of the stress they may be feeling that particular weekend," said Adam Milstein, a bartender at South in Santa Monica.
Many hotels have Carmageddon deals, such as the exclusive Shutters on the Beach Hotel, which is offering a three-night stay, dry cleaning and a continental breakfast to-go on Monday morning.
"So you're off to work and back to your normal routine… and not had to deal with any of the car issues," said Gregory Day, general manager of Shutters on the Beach.
City officials are still encouraging people to stay off the roads as much as possible, but those brave enough to venture out will find some good deals when and if they make it to their destination.
