EaterWire: Emeril in Vegas, Vinoteque Reopens, Taco Truck Crimes

VEGAS— One of tv's original celebrity chefs Emeril Lagasse is opening up a new restaurant called Lagasse’s Stadium in The Palazzo at the old 40/40 Club space. Renovations to the 24,000-square-foot space began in June to make way for Emeril's forth dining concept in Vegas which combines a sports bar and restaurant in one. Look for 100 HD tvs and a menu of signature New Orleans-style Emeril dishes mixed with some re-invented American classics. [EaterWire]

MID-CITY— Today also marks the reopening of Vinoteque, the small plate eatery/wine bar that shuttered it's original Culver City location last year. Now situated directly next door to The Foundry, Vinoteque on Melrose boasts a handful of tables in an outdoor patio area flanked by surrounding buildings, and a smaller intimate dining space with a large wooden wine rack spanning one wall visible above. The tapas-style menu is managed by Joshua Smookler who serves up Mediterranean and French-inspired fare that range from bone marrow to gnocchi with port and Stilton. [EaterWire]

EAST LA— Police believe that the "tagger" crew/gang has robbed at least 22 taco trucks at gunpoint over the past few months and though four perpetrators have been caught, they are currently searching for a final fifth. [LAT]
