New Chef at Lola's, Lemonade in Venice

WEST HOLLYWOOD—A new executive chef has been appointed at Lola's on North Fairfax, though the place is probably still better known for its martinis. The new chef's name is Ryan Bergunio; once upon a time, he worked under Govind Armstrong at Table 8 and was most recently the exec at La Defence. [EaterWire]

VENICE—A passer-by points out that there's a new location of Lemonade opening up in Venice. From the signage, the third branch of the so-called "part lemonade stand, part grade-school cafeteria" will be at the corner of Venice and Abbot Kinney. [EaterWire]

CHAINLAND—Today, Burger King unveiled its first Whopper Bar in Florida, with more locations to open throughout the rest of the year. Simply put, the concept is pretty silly: customers sit down and allow Burger King workers to "add the toppings in front of customers for a sushi bar-like atmosphere." [USA Today]
