Pourtal Opens, All You Can Eat Kogi, More!

SANTA MONICA—As noted by Tasting Table and Le Dish, among others, Pourtal Wine Bar debuts today. It's a wine bar by Peter Birmingham located on the end of Santa Monica Boulevard, near the Promenade (nope, no wine bars in that area at all). The centerpiece of Pourtal, of course, is the Enomatic wine toy. Open daily from 11am to 11pm. 104 Santa Monica Blvd.; (310) 393-7693; website [EaterWire]

BURBANK—There's no denying that Kogi is an epic hit, so we're guessing that All-You-Can-Eat Kogi is going have a massive turnout. Tomorrow's special event costs $20 and it's for charity too. [KogiWire]

FREEBIES—FYI: tonight from 5pm to 10pm, Baskin-Robbins is doing its annual 31-cent scoop night extravaganza. [EaterWire]

RADIOWAVES—Michael Pollan was on KQED Public Forum earlier today. As he is wont to do, he discussed all things related to food politics. [KQED]

CALIFORNIA—Every food magazine loves to make lists about burgers, and Food Network Magazine runs its version, picking the best burgers in each state. The winner in California: In-N-Out. [EaterWire]
