EaterWire: New Chef For Citrus, More Yelp Wanted Antics, More Mario and Gwyneth

HOLLYWOOD: Although he's been the "acting" chef after Remi Lauvand unexpectedly "left" Citrus at Social in August, Omri Aflalo has been officially named chef de cuisine. More details: He hails from NoCal, is a CIA grad, worked with both Gary Danko and Michael Mina, and "closely" with Richard at Citronelle for three years. [EaterWire]

YELP WANTED: The Yelp extortion accusations continue. The latest report out of San Francisco reveals several tales of sponsor-related bullying tactics, ad shenanigans, and more: "Shop owner Gerald Wiesl said Yelp told him the review at the top has 'the greatest impact' but he could place the review of his choice at the top by becoming a sponsor. 'They're holding a little bit of a gun to heads of people who don't participate to ask them to pony up some money,' Weisl said." [CBS via Eater SF]

CELEB CHEFDOM: While still heavy in publicity mode (who saw Oprah this week?) for their soon to debut project/movie/product line around a trip to Spain, Mario Batali and Gwyneth Paltrow are rumored to be planning their second trip. Where? Italy, natch. [Contact Music via Eater]
