La Cachette Bistro Opening Delayed

Santa Monica: August 15 is just around the corner (yes, the date was pushed back by five days) and Jean Francois Meteigner's La Cachette Bistro is preparing for its dinner debut. This time around JF shares a more Californian interpretation of French Bistro fare using locally sourced items including cheese and olive oil when possible. The modern California-French bistro space was designed by Mark R. Stevens from Architecture & Light in San Francisco, and he chose to furnish the space with red banquettes, a dark green granite topped bar/tables, and bistro posters with art from Jean Francois’ private collection along the walls. Menu items range from an ahi tuna “burger” on brioche with horseradish sauce to maple farm duck breast with ginger, braised red cabbage, and the bar will stock a fresh fruit juice cocktail list created by recent London-LA transplant, Mark D., and apparently "Mark D" doesn't care to share his last name.
