Go Out, Dine Out, and Help Out

The Susan G. Komen events are well-known, well-regarded, and have done much to raise funds, awareness, and hope for the fight against breast cancer. And while the annual walk, which takes place in cities around the nation, definitely draws a lot of attention, Dine Out for the Cure should also inspire people to take pause and head for a participating restaurant on Wednesday, July 15th.

The deals: Restaurants around Southern California -- including Ford's Filling Station, Michael's on Naples, and The Gardens on Glendon -- will give 10 percent of the gross profits -- a goodly sum -- to help out the Koman foundation in LA. Yelp is on board with this, and the eateries are located around the city, from Long Beach to Culver City.

There's one near you, we know it. Eat out and lend support. And be sure to support the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure next March; better yet, join in and run/walk yourself.
