"It's a very difficult business to be in, but the [delis] that are most inspiring, the ones that people cling to, the ones that people enshrine for years and years are the traditional Jewish delis. And Los Angeles just happens to have more of them than any city I've been to," Sax told the Los Angeles Times.
This should obviously be no surprise to any sandwich-loving Angeleno. Even our beloved police chief, who has one foot out of the door, agrees with Sax. LAPD chief William Bratton recently told KPCC that LA's corned beef tops New York's, LA Observed reported.
Sax will be in town on Oct. 28 for a book signing at (you guessed it) Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant.
