Like other eat-about-towners, we hear the words "Taste of" and we immediately cease doing whatever we were doing and pay rapt attention.
Rapt. Because a "Taste of" anywhere means a lot of good local restaurants will be gathering and grilling and cooking and pleasing new/longtime fans alike. And the next "Taste of" in Southern California is happening in Anaheim on Thursday, May 13.
Over 50 restaurants and catering companies and wineries will be at the warming dishes and banquettes and tables. Known-near-and-far landmarks like Mr. Stox and the Anaheim White House will be represented. Names you've seen near and far, like Roy's Hawaiian Fusion and Ruth's Chris Steak House, will be in the house. And Disney-based or -close favorites like Storytellers Cafe and Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen will have tidbits to try.
The forks come out at 5:30 p.m. on May 13 at the Gardenwalk; cost is $40 at the door.
