Vegas Dominates Moneymakers List; LA Nearly Absent

The annual tally of America's top-grossing independent restaurants by Restaurants & Institutions has been released, and like last year, just a lonely duo of Los Angeles businesses managed spots on the list. Coming in at #43 is Gladstone's Malibu with an estimated gross of $14,100,000 and down the list in the #72 slot, we've got Lawry's The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills ($11,900,000). This year, San Francisco's Slanted Door takes over the title of the top grossing restaurant in California, but as in years past, the list is dominated by New York and Vegas restaurants.
 

Here's the Vegas list of top moneymakers (sidenote: so many unfortunately-named restaurants!). Also, we'll be very curious to see how this list looks a year from now, considering all the recent news about the so-called bust of Vegas:
