As if cutting 600 jobs wasn't enough, now Starbucks will thin the herd with a new HR "philosophy." Basically, full-time baristas must be available to work any of the store's hours or they will lose their jobs. No flexibility means those with family, school or a second job (because who doesn't need a second job when making minimum wage?) are SOL. What's worse, even if baristas comply, they're not "gauranteed" hours; those that don't will be shown the door in six months. It's all Starbucks or nothing. So much for social responsibility!
