  • The show happens "several times daily"

If you're feeling a certain sense of "hakuna mata" these days, and the glow from knowing that a live-action take on a beloved animated film is just about a month away, you're surely feeling a particular Simba-ous of symbiotic good feeling.

Which is all to ask this: Can you feel the "Lion King" love that is in the air? Surely you can, if you've got July 19 circled on your calendar, the debut of "The Lion King," and you've also got a fun day planned at Disney California Adventure park.

For a brand-new stage show just made its first roaring debut. It's called "Tale of the Lion King," and Simba buffs and Mufasa mavens can find it singing "several times daily" at the Anaheim theme park.

And quite a stage show it is, too.

There are some 18 performers in all, the "Storytellers of the Pride Lands." Mwongozo, the narrator, will serve as your guide into the production, which is presented in "... contemporary story-theater style," one that "... retells the tale through language, song and dance."

For sure, "Circle of Life" will be a part of the heart-happy presentation, and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," and "Hakuna Mata," too. But something fresh and fun? Listen for "new music arrangements" weaving through these classic songs.
