Bristol Palin Snaps Up Arizona Home for $172K in Cash

Sarah Palin has Alaska. Her daughter Bristol may be moving in on John McCain’s turf.

Bristol Palin has bought a five-bedroom home in Maricopa, Ariz. for a cool $172,000 in cash, The Arizona Republic reported on Friday.

The 3,900-square-foot, two-level, brown stucco property boasts a tiled roof, landscaped yards and access to a community pool, according to The Associated Press. It was reportedly built four years ago and first sold for $329,560.

Palin, the “Dancing with the Stars” finalist and abstinence activist, purchased the house from a couple from North Dakota who’d snapped it up out of foreclosure for $137,200, The Arizona Republic reported.

“I’m not sure why she wanted to buy that home, but we are real happy for her,” Michael Smith, who’d bought the home as an investment, told the paper.

It’s unclear if Palin plans to be a permanent resident of the Grand Canyon State.
