Candy Crisis: While yesterday's Wall Street Journal…

While yesterday's Wall Street Journal reported that the Candys--those lovely British brothers/developers--had defaulted on a construction loan for the 9900 Wilshire project, that Richard Meier-designed condo/possible hotel planned for Beverly Hills, today's Los Angeles Times has a different take on this very important crisis. Here's the Times headline: "Financial move keeps hopes alive for Beverly Hills project." In regards to renegotiating that loan, Nicholas Candy tells the paper: "We are in talks with the banks and optimistic we can resolve this to our mutual satisfaction."
