Apparently, the answer is yes. BMW plans to debut an all-electric version of the Mini Cooper next month in Los Angeles at the auto show. The company plans to build 500 prototype electric Minis and will make them available for test drives in New York, New Jersey and California. According to BMW group sales and marketing director Ian Robertson, “it can be recharged in your garage, albeit with some special equipment, in two-and-a-half hours, and has a range of 120 miles."
