The latest dish from Eater LA, Curbed's hedonistic eating and drinking blog...

SANTA MONICA: Following the success of Fraiche in Culver City, chef/owners Jason and Miho Travi are opening Italian restaurant Riva in the old Scarboni space on Wilshire. Originally projected to open by end of year, the Travi's seem to be close to opening already. Eater projects early November opening.

LOS ANGELES: The results are in...and Blue Velvet, Osteria Mozza, Katsuya, and LA Mill are the big winners at last night's AIA/LA Restaurant Design Awards. Also a winner, the somewhat baffling One World lounge at LAX designed by Gensler as one of the People's Choice winners.

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Eater attends the opening party for SBE's XIV and spots Jared Leto, the cast of The Hills, and (thankfully) Jose Andres. Will the combination of Michelin-starred chef Michael Mina and Hollywood douchebaggery work? We're skeptical. For more stories from Curbed LA, go to la.curbed.com.
