Put Out that Cig Before Checking Out Pasadena's Westgate

Blogger Brigham Yen gives us a mini-tour of some of the newest rentals in Old Town Pas.

The first phase of the Westgate Apartments opened up last month, with 29 units becoming available for move-ins—we hear most are taken, but another 58 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments will go online when the second phase opens in February (there are seven total phases with 480 units).

The architecture doesn't necessarily bring the "wows," but Brigham has nice things to say about the amenities (gym, pool, internet cafe, movie screening room, and a soon-to-come park) and the two-bedroom townhouses that open onto the street. There are move-in specials currently that make the studios available for $1,475, one-bedrooms ranging from $1,875 to $2,555, and the townhouses at around $3,000. Oh, the building is very environmentally-conscious, so smokers need not apply.
