The first television commercial for Measure R—the ballot measure that would increase the sales tax a half cent to provide billions for transit and roads—has hit the airwaves. The ad, one of a series (more ads will appear next week) was released by YES on Measure R Los Angeles, a non-controlled campaign committee. Also, a group of Measure R supporters is planning a Friday rally near the heavily-traversed corner of Wilshire and Westwood during rush hour. And, oh yeah, there's an official Measure R website now.
