It's officially Christmas time.
Ushering in the season, and letting eager tree-trimming enthusiasts get an early start, Peltzer Pines Christmas Tree Farms opens this weekend.
The farms, in Irvine, Brea, and Silverado offer families a chance to get a freshly cut tree or even cut down their own tree. Trees start at $40 for a 5 to 6-foot tree and go up to $110 for a 9-foot tree.
Holiday hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
