Hear Carols, Sip Wine, Shop, Hear Carols…

It's larger, newer neighbor -- that would be The Grove -- gets the lion's share of the spotlight during the holiday season (and, we see why, what with that can't-fit-it-into-one-camera-shot enormous tree, Santa's workshop and the high-kicking Top Hats). But sweet Farmers Market also gets merry, treating last-minute shoppers (or just people who want to come and eat and hang) to treats of the holiday.

What's on tap? Yuletide carolers will be roaming the old-fashioned stalls in the days leading up to Christmas, and, with the acoustics of the place, you won't need to follow them around; you'll get a good listen at pretty much any spot you decide to stop. Einstein Brown's Caribbean Christmas gets the Plaza area (that's the clocktower by Cost Plus) moving from 2-4PM on Monday, December 22, while Mariachi Plata strolls the market from 4-7PM on Tuesday, December 23. Arts, crafts and other fun to-dos are also on the schedule.

It's a celebratory spot any time of the year, but once the carolers arrive, the whole hug-your-neighbor, feel-the-magic-of-the-moment thing goes through the Market's open-air roof.
