We have to say, we're really liking what LA labels are doing with leggings—taking them from plain undergarments and using prints and colors that pop, fabrications you wouldn't expect. We've expressed our affection for Costume Dept. before, and now label DE LA SADE has come on the scene, launched this month and also offering reasonably priced fun leggings—and look, for guys too! (Which, we're pretty confident, most guys will not be able to pull off, though we would've never envisioned the men-in-skinny jean trend to be so strong and lasting, and it is on trend with all the men-in-tights, men-in-skirts, etc on the runways...)
Ranging from $26-$69, the fashion- and music-inspired collection is created by "adoptive sister design duo" Gia and Amanda La Sade, and by the looks of their galactic lookbook, they are all about bold color, pattern—holographic fabrics and metallic foiling included—and making a statement. DE LA SADE's site is still in the works, but ecommerce is launching early next week.
