Party (S)hopping: Lilith Rockett Ceramics at Fifth Floor Gallery Saturday

First of all, her name is Lilith Rockett, so she has to be some sort of rock star—so, rock star ceramicist it is. New-ish Chinatown gallery Fifth Floor (tagline: Accoutrements for the Modern Life) will present Rockett's latest exhibition, 'Suspended Animation,' this Saturday, November 8, with an opening reception from 6pm-9pm. The show will highlight the artist's "striking new forms...featuring Rockett's clean monochrome palette with subtle contrast between gloss and matte, while maintaining the delicate restraint of form which typifies her work."

The images reminded us of ceramics in shops such as OK, which we envision placed just so on our dreamy fantasy Danish sideboard across a long wall. We were pleased to here that Rockett's work runs from $50-$800, with most falling at the lower end of the range—i.e., go and take something beautiful home and place it (hopefully) on your real life dreamy Danish sideboard.
