Snow Much? Board Up at Ski Dazzle

Whether you go Mammoth, Big Bear or glide east to the Rocky Mountain west, the poles and skis and boards you tie to the top of that muddy fun wagon are essential parts of your day on the mountain. Ski Dazzle, the annual snow-themed spectacular at Los Angeles Convention Center, preps the stocking-capped, moon-booted enthusiast for the coldest, boldest time of the year.

There are skis and sporty accessories up the wazoo to browse, of course; but for loved ones who prefer burrowing by lodge's fireplace to freezing on the lift, resorts and visitors bureaus from around the country -- think Jackson Hole to Whistler to Mt. Baldy -- are on hand to pitch rooms, slopes and sweet deals. And for fashionistas who want to work the fleece-lined hoodie look around the pro shop, retailers boasting clothing and more are part of the game.

We think we'd ski every day if someone would sell us a cup holder, attached to our pole, for hot chocolate or cider. But of course, we'd probably slurp it down while riding the lift up, anyway.
