Nature?

It's fascinating, yes, and leafy, often, and full of lizards, if you find yourself in a lizard-rich spot, and it has amazing water elements, too, and towering mountains, and weeny-teeny bugs, and everything nice.

And just about every modern study around says that humans need to spend more quality time in it, and while making blanket statements should generally be avoided, that's a blanket we're willing to firmly clutch.

But how, in our hectic workaday worlds, do we make this incredibly important connection? Nature + us=joy?

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles is here to help, through its enjoyable, music-lush, green-glowful, learn-lots Summer Nights series.

The final one of this season is up on Friday, July 26 from 5 to 9 o'clock.

The Scene

Happy 65th to the LA County Holiday Celebration, a free Christmas Eve tradition

Free holiday events are festively festooning the Original Farmers Market

Admission? Oh, this is as breezy as a cloudless July evening: It's free, but you'll want to RSVP.

Live music, a "Cat Baret" performance, and the Discardosaurus Art Installation are three highlights.

Can you picnic? That's what people often do in nature, so you should, too, if snacking under the sky, as it goes from blue to pink to starlight, is your favorite thing.

And stylish sips will be for sale, if a "garden-infused cocktail" tempts you.

Keep in mind there's a LAFC Soccer Game nearby, in Exposition Park, so the Natural History Museum has a tip on arriving with your car. Read more now.

And prepare to nature-up the end of your busy week, which is, really, the most expedient route to finding relaxation after being on the go, go, go for five frenetic days.
