It's an oft-asked question among fans o' fright: Just when does Halloween begin in Southern California?

True, the holiday gets ghouling around September and October in most places, but here, in the land of theme parks and movie monsters, July is the jump-start month, when all of the wickedness to come begins to take root.

And something rather strange, or Stranger, blossomed on the final Monday in July: A peek at the cool key art for the upcoming "Stranger Things" maze at Universal Studios Hollywood's annual falltime spectacular, Halloween Horror Nights.

Mavens of the Netflix phenomenon, which has enjoyed two successful, buzzed-about seasons thus far, will instantly recognize that quintessential "Stranger Things" style.

That's because Kyle Lambert, the amazing illustrator behind that "Stranger Things" look, created it.

So when you can step inside the "Stranger Things" world and bravely face the Demogorgon, much like the brave, bike-rocking, D&D-dominating heroes of "Stranger Things"?
