Two People + Disneyland + 366 Days in a Row

One couple visited Disneyland every day during 2012.

What's the important quality in a strong relationship? Having a common interest is certainly high on the much-debated list.

That isn't much of an issue for Lake Forest couple Jeff Reitz and Tonya Mickesh. The pair just made their 366th visit to Disneyland Resort earlier this week. Meaning that the twosome did indeed visit the Anaheim resort every single day during 2012.

Update: It was their 366th day, as 2012 was a leap year.

The annual passholders were dealing with the trials of being unemployed when the year began when the idea of hitting Disneyland once a day popped up. Could it be done? Should it be done? And can one ride it's a small world too many times? (Our answer: There is no limit to how many times one can ride that particular ride, right?)

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs met with the couple in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle on Monday, Dec. 31 to make them honorary citizens of Disneyland. The park also gifted the dedicated pair an overnight in the Disneyland Dream Suite.

And the happy epilogue? Both Mr. Reitz and Ms. Mickesh are now employed. Was it Disney magic? Clearly they have gumption, which is something else a strong relationship requires (as well as a job search).

Our remaining question is this: If you went to Disneyland every day for a year, would you do something different each day, or hit the same ride again and again? Here's hoping the couple kept a calendar for those who'd dare follow in their Magic Kingdom footsteps.
