1 Killed in 60 Freeway Crash in Diamond Bar

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. -- A multi-vehicle crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Diamond Bar on Friday left a woman dead and two other people injured, authorities said.

The crash on the eastbound Pomona Freeway just east of Grand Avenue was reported about 3:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The injured were transported for hospital treatment, said CHP Officer David Porter. A woman was pronounced dead, said Sgt. Robert Headden of the CHP's Santa Fe Springs office. The circumstances of the collision were under investigation.

Several eastbound lanes were closed while crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes were reopened by 6:20 a.m., Porter said.
