As darkness fell Tuesday a cold winter storm moved over Southern California producing scattered showers.
Todd Hall, a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Oxnard, told NBCLA most areas would receive about a tenth of an inch of rain. He said our mountains would get an inch to an inch and a half of snow.
“There will be no hard freeze overnight, but there could be some patchy frost.” Hall added.
The rain will "exist Southern California overnight leaving cold air behind, " Hall forecasted.
