Storm Prep: Where to Get Sandbags

As rains are expected in Southern California, residents living in fire burn areas were urged to take precautions and prepare for mudslide risks.

The Riverside County Emergency Management Department warned residents near Idyllwild and Lake Elsinore that rain in the Cranston and Holy fire areas could trigger mud and debris flows in locations where the vegetation was consumed by the fires.

The region could see a few light showers in the morning but the bulk of the heavier rain and thunderstorms will come in the afternoon and evening, said NBC4 Meteorologist Anthony Yanez.
