Streets Flooded After Rains in Boyle Heights

Cars were nearly underwater in Boyle Heights after rains caused flooding on Monday.

Bernal Avenue and 6th Street were flooded, forcing drivers to stop.

Clogged drains were the problem, according to Los Angeles County Fire. The drain was cleared later Monday night.

Water came up to resident Rene Navarette's waist in his East LA home.

Navarette also said a prayer room on a lower level  was destroyed.
